The new cookbook from the people behind Osteria 16 offers 80 new, simple dishes, made with a few exquisite ingredients and prepared with care. The recipes are inspired by Italian cuisine and range from antipasti, pasta and risotto to lots of polenta, green dishes and dessert. The dishes are created for informal serving – family style – as known from Osteria 16, the popular antipasti restaurants, owned by childhood friends Morten Kaltoft and Emil Alsbo. The book’s foreword is written by Synne Rifbjerg.
Morten Kaltoft is a trained chef at Era Ora and opened Famo Saxogade in 2004. He subsequently opened Famo 51 and Famo Metro. Morten has won several chef awards. Emil Alsbo is an artist and has been part of the artist group Telefon Til Chefen. Emil has sold to the Danish National Art Foundation and has exhibited at Charlottenborg and Tranen, among other places. Together they are behind Osteria 16 Haderslevgade, Spaghetteria, Osteria 16 Pesce and Osteria 16 Ravnsborggade.
