Once the ceramic has been shaped, it is hand-painted, and several layers of paint are applied to create beautiful, unique decorations.
After the first firing at 850-950 degrees, the ceramic is glazed with a water-based glaze. It is then left to dry and fired a second time at 1000-1100 degrees.
The ceramic was originally used as decoration.
The ceramic can also be used for table settings and is food-safe. We recommend washing it by hand to extend its longevity.
The meeting of clay and the many layers of paint can create small crack-like lines. These should not be considered defects, but are normal to encounter in this type of ceramic.
