This book is a collection of 348 color combinations created by Sanzo Wada (1883–1967). At a time when the use of color was becoming increasingly avant-garde and diverse, he was an early proponent of the importance of color and helped lay the foundation for modern color research.
Sanzo Wada worked as an artist, art school instructor, costume designer for film and theater, and kimono and fashion designer, among other roles. With his versatile talents, he created innovative works with a special focus on visual perception and form.
