Magical Flower Seeds

For Rikke Lentz, flower seeds are pure magic. The experienced flower farmer and author shares her many years of experience in a new book on how to collect seeds from flowers, clean them, and successfully sow them – using methods that anyone can follow. Organic flowers, enchanting bouquets, and flower seeds are Rikke's great passion. She has previously published books on the first two topics, and with MAGICAL FLOWER SEEDS, the flower cycle is completed.

In the book, Rikke reviews about 80 of her favorite flowers, which she has divided into 8 categories based on how their seeds are harvested and cleaned – a practical approach that makes it easier to prioritize what you want to try yourself. Along the way, she provides good tips for drying flowers and using them in bouquets.

The book also includes an introduction to the life cycle of a seed and an easily accessible overview of the parts of plant science that one minimally needs to know to succeed as a seed collector.
