V60 Function 1: Cone shape
The cone shape of the dripper causes the layers of coffee grounds to be vertically thicker than on the flat surface of traditional trapezoidal drippers. The shape allows hot water to flow towards the center, so it stays in contact with the coffee grounds for longer and ensures proper extraction of flavor and aromatic components from the coffee.

V60 Feature 2: Spiral ribs
When the coffee is saturated with water, the dripper's high rib does not prevent the coffee from expanding. Furthermore, the twisted ribs prevent the paper from sticking to the sides of the dripper and allow air to pass through. This promotes even extraction.

V60 Feature 3: A single large hole
The bottom of the dripper has a large hole. This causes the tip of the paper to protrude through the hole, allowing for extraction closer to a fabric filter, unrestricted by the dripper. By changing the pour speed, you can brew coffee to your preferred taste.
